NICOLA’S NEW ALBUM

THE MIND TRAVELLER

IS OUT NOW!

After exploring the separation of body, mind, consciousness, and soul in NICOTOMIA, Nicola takes listeners beyond time itself in THE MIND TRAVELLER, a transcendent musical journey through infinite existence.

The album continues the story behind the song “The Miracle.” This album, which opens with the powerful and iconic “Back To The Stars,” invites listeners to follow consciousness beyond physical limits, leaving behind what makes us human and embracing infinity. ‘On streets of light, I’m the one‘ as “The Miracle” suggests, ‘the one‘ is not just Nicola, but every listener embarking on this journey; because in the grand design of existence, we are all one.

After getting back to the stars, the consciousness finds itself in the songs “Here I Am” and “I Am Free” empowering tracks that remind us of the real essence of existence. The journey continues with songs like “If I Fall,” “Summer Nights,” “How You Make Me Feel,” to name a few, that work as memory when the consciousness looks back at its previous lives and its different experiences. In particular, ‘Summer Nights’ acts as a magnet, pulling the consciousness toward a specific life. “The summer nights keep on calling” towards a life where “Fears” and “Wolves” have left a deep scar. These two songs, ‘Fears,’ a metal tribute to Nicola’s favorite band, Judas Priest, and ‘Wolves,’ a stark reminder to be cautious of misplaced trust, are two fundamental tracks in the album that remind the listener to face their fears and never stop fighting.

Despite these difficult memories the consciousness is dealing with, the soul is drawn toward that life with the song “I Will Return,” one of the most personal songs of the album. As Nicola explains:

I grew up in a small village in Italy and my parents’ house faces endless fields of wheat. I’ve often played there as a kid, in those fields of gold, during those summer evenings. The view of the house from the fields, when the voice of my mother or my father was calling me home, during the sunset, is one of my good old memories. In those fields, often the mistral wind is so strong that pushes you towards home. I’ve always thought that, if I could make a backup point of this life and had a chance to come back after I’m gone, this would be one of the moments I would choose, and I would let the wind guide me home. We all have that special moment, and everyone has their own ‘golden field’ to go back to.”

This moment is framed in the song “I Will Return,” and concluded in an unexpected way with “Suspended Soul”, a bonus track available only on the Vinyl version of “The Mind Traveller.” This hidden gem describes the experience of returning to your ‘golden field’ with full awareness of the journey that led you there, and as the internal artwork of the CD and Vinyl say:

Walk through the golden field without fear. Every life you’ve lived is a light within you; trust the wind, for it knows the way home, and home is wherever your soul chooses to shine.
